What Wineries are Visited?
Sonoma County has sixteen wine regions (or appellations) and is home to over 400 wineries.
We most frequently visit the wineries in the Dry Creek, Russian River, Green Valley, Alexander Valley, Sonoma Valley, Los Carneros regions. However, on Sonoma’s Wine Country Tours, the choice is up to you!
How do I know if you have a tour available on my preferred date?
Use the Book Now feature: the calendar will show you available dates. Should you need additional help just give us a call, or send us an email. We will be able to let you know our availability immediately and provide you with any additional information.
What Should I Expect?
We will accompany you into the wineries, introduce you to the staff (and maybe an owner or winemaker), and will remain with you throughout the day to share our knowledge and answer questions. During the day you will learn about tasting wine, types of grape varietals, wine production, viticulture, and how to store, care for and serve wines. We can spend some time in a vineyard, weather permitting. You will also have opportunities to purchase wines throughout the day. You will have photos of wineries and your special moments without having to stop and take them yourself as through out the tour your memories will be captured on film for you.
What’s Not Included?
Guide’s gratuity (but always appreciated).
Tasting fees are not included in wine tours. Many wineries charge $5-$25 each for tasting. If you prefer to try and reduce the amount of tasting fees you incur, let us know and we will do our best to help you select wineries that may not charge a fee for our guests, or will waive the fee with a purchase.
Are advanced reservations required?
No. However, we strongly encourage you to make arrangements in advance to ensure we can accommodate your request and provide you with a tour that is uniquely yours . In general, weekends fill up the fastest, and our busiest season is June through November.
Where do you pick-up?
We offer door to door service! We pick up from locations throughout Sonoma County. The new Smart Train just made the trip from San Francisco to Sonoma County a special trip. With service from San Rafael to Sonoma’s Wine Country..all aboard. We believe that being the designated driver means just that. You shouldn’t have to worry about driving after a fun day of wine tasting.
How many people can you accommodate in a group?
While our vehicles can carry up to 7 passengers, we restrict all of our tours 1 to 6. Reason being is we try to provide each passenger with a unique experience.
What are our eating options?
Gourmet picnic lunch prepared by one of the top restaurants in the Sonoma Wine Country.
We have some favorite wineries we would like to include. Is that possible?
Yes! We are here to create your unique Sonoma Wine Country Tour and our Sommelier will assist you in doing just that.
How long will our tour be?
Your unique Sonoma Wine Country Tour has its own customized itinerary, and therefore your tour length will be determined by your own individual needs. As for the wineries, most open between 10 and 11 AM and close between 4 and 5 PM.
How many wineries will we visit?
Depending upon your personal itinerary, most guests visit a minimum of four wineries and a maximum of six. While some guests just want to visit as many wineries as possible, most find that a slower paced (relaxing) day, visiting fewer wineries (but with top quality wines and hospitality) makes a more enjoyable wine country experience!
May we drink alcohol in the vehicle?
Sorry, we do not permit drinking alcohol in the vehicle on wine tours. Most guests find that the amount of wine they are served visiting all of the wineries is plenty. Our wine tours are for people who wish to visit the wine country in a relaxed atmosphere and are not designed as party buses.
What is your cancellation policy?
